Personality

Gentle and generally good-natured but not timid or shy. He tends to feel all things deeply, good or bad. While he's empathetic when it comes to others, it can be difficult for him to talk about his own burdens (he's much better at caring for others than himself).Solus is a loyal and steadfast friend and extremely devoted partner. He loves love! He'll do anything to make sure the people in his life know he cares about them. He loves to write letters and often uses his grimoires as journals. His written spells are interspersed with extensive notes about every place he visits, and he presses his favorite flowers from different locations in his books.

His role as the Warrior of Light weighs on him as one he didn't choose but has come to accept. While he is extremely skilled with magic and wields an immense amount of power, he's not a fighter - his skills in combat are lacking, resulting in many of the scars decorating his body. His injuries have taken their toll and cause him stiffness and pain, leading him to find magical solutions to things he can no longer do physically in battle.Solus loves tea (for its flavor and health benefits), the language of flowers, handmade paper and journals, cats, and being awake at vampire hours, much to the annoyance of the Scions who generally prefer to conduct their business during the day, haha.He also might be a retired necromancer, and his familiar might be the soul of his previously deceased cat resurrected with the body of a voidsent, but he doesn't talk about that.

Style

In a past life before becoming the WoL, Solus worked as a weaver in Ul'dah, where he grew up. He either makes his own clothes or modifies them to fit his own sense of style, which is generally best described as "goth anime prince," though it definitely veers into forest witch and magical girl territory as well.His horns, nails, and other small parts of his appearance are projections made using his own aether (similar to creation magic). They exist in a solid form but can be changed or removed at any time. He also loves to wear flowers in his hair, usually red roses.His favorite makeup is a dark lip and eye with deep red highlights.
